georgia tech did play even if the gov. didnt want them to
because baseball was integrated, many white southerners believed no other sports should be integrated (p. 89-90)
Georgia tried to get a bill passed to ban integrated sports but it failed
Alabama was successful in passing it but didnt take it as seriously as Louisiana
Louisiana cancelled all college football games that would have been integrated
